Ashley Sunshine

Ashley Sunshine completed her high school softball career in Fairless Hills, Pennsylvania where she was named PA Gatorade Player of the year in 2004. Ashley continued her playing career at Emory University where she served as a pitcher and team captain for the Eagles. During her four year career, Ashley received a number of accolades including two-time First Team All-Conference, All-Atlantic Region, and two-time All-Regional Tournament Team. In addition to her responsibilities on the softball field, Ashley also served as the President of Emory University’s Varsity Athletes’Council from 2007-2008.

After receiving her degree in Psychology and Pre-Medical studies in 2008, Ashley began coaching at Champions Fast Pitch Academy, one of Atlanta's premier training facilities. In 2009, Ashley moved to Chicago and joined the coaching staff at the University of Chicago where she served as a volunteer assistant coach for two seasons, and helped the Maroons advance to the 2010 post-season Regional Tournament.

In 2013 Ashley earned a Master’s of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Illinois at Chicago. In addition to her work with S2 Breakthrough, Ashley is also the Volunteer Assistant Coach for the DePaul University softball team.

Ashley currently lives in La Grange with her husband, Brad, their daughter, Callie, and their dog, Stanley.

Krista Stoker

Krista grew up in Collinsville, Illinois and was a two-sport athlete in high school, volleyball and softball. After high school she attended Washington University in St. Louis, where she served as a team captain and outfielder on the varsity softball team. She received UAA All-Academic each of her four years and second team All-UAA in 2008. In 2007, the Bears advanced to the Division III World Series where they placed second.

In 2011, Krista received her JD from the University of Chicago Law School. Following graduation, she worked as a corporate associate at Sidley Austin LLP for three years specializing in Insurance and Financial Transactions.

Krista has held numerous coaching positions including head and assistant positions in several age groups for both the Collinsville Extreme Fastpitch Organization and the Orland Park A's. In 2008, Krista joined the coaching staff at University of Chicago where she helped the Maroons advance to the 2010 post-season Regional Tournament. Krista currently serves as the head of player development for the Orland Park A’s.

Krista lives with her husband, Matt, in La Grange and they have a son, Henry and two dogs, Betty and Landen.

Bob Hylka

Hitting Instructor

Bob began coaching softball in 2010 in the Frankfort Girls Softball association. He was named Assistant Coach of the Frankfort Fusion 14u Part-Time travel team in 2013, and coached the Fusion 18u team in 2014 and 2015. Bob is also a member of the FGS board, and was responsible for planning and organizing the organization’s winter skills clinics.

Bob moved to the Orland Park A’s in 2015-2016 as an assistant coach at the 16u level and is currently the Head Coach of one of the A’s 12u teams. Bob is always studying the game, and looks for ways to better develop his players and improve his coaching. Bob is hard working and passionate about the game and about helping his players reach their potential.

Brittany Gardner

Pitching Instructor

Brittany Gardner is a local athlete and played at Carl Sandburg High School in Orland Park, Illinois. She was the starting pitcher on the Sandburg 2010 State Championship team. Brittany continued her career at Loyola University of Chicago. Brittany accumulated many accolades including four time First Team All Conference, two time Second Team All-Great Lakes Region Team, 2011 Horizon League Newcomer of the Year, 2012 Horizon League Pitcher of the Year, and 2014 Missouri Valley Pitcher of the Year. She received her degree in Social Work and is currently working on a Masters Degree.

Brittany has experience as an assistant coach for the 16U Frankfort Flames in 2011, the 16U Plainfield Twisters in 2014 and the 16U Orland Park A’s in 2015.
